Deputy PM says no deficit of civil aviation pilots in Russia

MOSCOW, Jun 19 (PRIME) -- There is no deficit of civil pilots in Russia, and the government is monitoring the situation, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich told reporters on June 17 after media reports that more than 300 aircraft commanders and instructors have gone to Asia and more than 400 pilots were applying for jobs there looking for better wages.

“We are tracking (the situation). There is no deficit (of pilots) now,” Dvorkovich said.

Previously, the Transport Ministry said it was discussing measures to prevent the outflow of pilots together with the Association of Air Transport Operators.
